REACH

The EU Regulation EC No. 1907/2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorizationand Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) has entered into force as of 1st June 2007. The purpose of this Regulation is to ensure a high level of protection of human health and the environment by improving and streamlining former legislative framework on chemicals. In order to achieve this goal the regulatory regime requires manufacturers and importers of chemical substances to provide health and safety data by registering at the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).

The registration is a mandatory process for all substances manufactured or imported in quantities exceeding 1 MT per year. Companies can take advantage of a phase-in registration schedule by pre-registering their substances within a five-month period that started on June 1, 2008 and closed at December 1, 2008. All pre-registered substances must be registered by June 1, 2018 the latest.

Our policy is to be fully REACH compliant and we are undertaking all necessary actions to ensure business continuity. All CRESSCO products have been pre-registered and our intention is to complete the registration process by the applicable deadline.
